The Hunters Glen of Carmel apartment complex was built in 1974. Five years later, the apartments were converted into condominiums and sold by its then owner Savill and Company of Indianapolis. Condominiums were somewhat of a new concept for the area, and the action generated a lot of attention. It was welcome fodder for the local news media at the time.
The boasts from these vintage sales brochures seem as appropriate today as they did then: "At Hunters Glen you can benefit from the financial rewards of home ownership like equity appreciation and tax deductions. While you enjoy maintenance free living..."
